Here is December.
first week of the month, we attempt to resolve some of the tension and confusion from the end of November. A feeling of being seasick directs itself into sharply funneled energy. Relationships/communication may be the arena in which all of this manifests. This could be a resolution, or a clear conversation about feelings. But it could also be further digging into the muddiness of it all. What does seem consistent is that our emotions and idealizations are directing all the drama.
12/8: gemini full moon
we reach the halfway point through the mars retrograde cycle. I hope that in things slowing down for you, or your energy expenditure getting deeply assessed, you can touch the ground. This full moon seems hot, as in trigger-happy, burning and melting, and possibly wearing various trickster faces.
there’s also indulgence, dreaming, and hope in this moment, but I wonder what space there is to enjoy these things when all the senses are heightened and movement is accelerated. I would avoid any invitation to fight or duel, if you can’t handle the possibility of losing.
20: jupiter enters aries
Jupiter moves into Aries now for good until next May. Hold on tight, we’re back to wanting to press the gas pedal. We pivot out of a warm dreamy wading pool into burning through all the papers. From this point onwards we are in a suspension that drops in mid January and grips us in a frenzy until we finally get to late-March.
23: New moon in Capricorn (square jupiter)
this seems like a really fruitful, fertile space of new beginnings and big ideas. I can imagine there are big moves for career or committing to something substantial during this time. we can bring innovative touches to tension-filled pockets of conflict.
29: mercury retrogrades, conjunct venus in capricorn
Mercury slows down to meet Venus. The end of the year, we wait for the rerouted path. Despite various horror stories around mercury retrograde, I feel like there’s help from harmonious relationships around you to brainstorm new ways of participating in our own sovereignty.
Last winter was tough, right? I think this moment asks us to revisit some of the tough questions from that time. riddles follow us around from inside our skin.

horoscopes (read for rising or sun sign!)
sagittarius:
relationships are filled with a surge of redirected, re-examined anger and energy, you must figure out how you communicate with others, especially if you’re leading with a (verbal) attack. this moment has you surfing on possibilities and seeing the great big blue sky, so soak in the visions because we need you to share it with all of us. end of month, you may feel a big desire to gamble, play around, be creative, etc, with the material world around you. It’s fun and juicy.
capricorn:
this month you first must realign some health or (paper)work concerns, and assess how you’re taking care of yourself. You may have been chasing the tail of some to-do list items that respawn and respawn, and this month is no exception. (I am happy to say that after January some things will clear up, but I know that’s a long time to hold on).
Later part of the month you rethink what it means to identify. Tiqqun writes in Civil War, your “form-of-life relates not to what (you) are, but to how (you) are what you are.” You reach into the deeper pockets of your quality to defy all expectations.
aquarius:
gambling too hard, indulging in vices, crushing, getting crushed, and getting opinionated about art, what’s going on? What’s been going on is you’ve been enjoying life (and maybe even against your will). You’ve been experiencing a joy with friendship and community, in part due to a sense of ease with what you’ve been blessed with, money, opportunities, or otherwise. This month you may have to reconcile personal desires with collective desires, emphasis on alien/uncomfortable personal desires.
Later in the month, you enter into your annual hibernation chamber, and I imagine you’ll emerge with volumes of new poetry and thought.
pisces:
the journey home/to find a home is ongoing and early month is a punctuation point in this so far laborious process. you don’t know whether you prefer to be settled or to always be searching, and this time may be a moment where you come to some type of decision. later in the month, you link up with your dreams and connect to community, making some big investments to bring the dream to life.
aries:
you’re moving around and saying a lot, and your brain is on hyperactive mode. you don’t know whether what you’re looking at is inside out or right-side up, but the impossibility of pinning things down and the lust with which you drive after new knowledge is what’s being offered. late in the month, you are beginning a new journey around possible employment, facing authority (in others, or within yourself), or around your relationship with your parents. All of this comes as you embody the most joyful, bountiful self you know.
taurus:
you’ve been facing some difficulties around finances or material resources, whether it’s mostly fear-based or there’s been actual loss you’re recovering from. This month, you come to some understanding around how you can resolve these problems, but not without more creative brainstorming. end of month, you start on a new journey in deeper studies or in philosophy. Entering into a private space of reflection will bring you to new waters, to realize new ways of life.
gemini:
if I call you a whirlwind of energy, does that even mean anything? I think you already are aware of your power in the world, and hold a kind of joy around how you can move around. But in December, I wonder if all this energy (since late August) is starting to get to you, if you’re feeling a little ragged and wrung out. You’ll be especially pushed to focus on how you relate in conflict or under pressure. late in the month, you enter more willingly than usual into a contractual obligation, with the power of friendship and associates on your side. Read thoroughly and double check your links with mercury going retrograde on the 29th
cancer:
this month you may need to get comfortable with discomfort. Especially since there’s a lot on your mind that you can’t pin down. You’ll be confronting the various ways you obstruct your own way, the ways you deny your true nature, and the ways shame shapes your beliefs and behavior. You have to be okay with the shadow, just as you seek the light. later in the month, you establish new relationships or a new chapter in a relationship, and this may be connected to work opportunities.
leo:
we create the world through friendship. this month continues to emphasize how much you need and desire fulfilling friendship and community. And how, at the root of it, friendship has got to be fun. If there’s a lot of conflict, gossip, or communication mishaps, take a step back before reacting. Late in the month, you are beginning a new chapter around wellness and your routines. You’ll find a wind of energy to help you enter the new year feeling your best. If you have travel plans, they will suit you well to inspire the adventures in the upcoming year ahead.
virgo:
This month you can sing new songs in the shower. Experiment wearing new hats. You’re doing some deep healing work, with the womb you are in and the womb you are holding, and chasing that joy in your living room makes you blossom through your ears. There may be some cracks or fissures in your workplace or in dealing with bosses. Watch your own temperature.
Later in the month, you begin a new chapter with creativity, romance, love- or art-child. Benefactors come and aid you by your side.
libra:
Have you been getting enough sunlight, vitamin D? If not, or even so, the itch to run away may come up strong this month. You may run away in poetry classes, children’s books, travel documentaries, and philosophical treatises. Later in the month, you will be beginning something anew in the space of home, whether as an emotional experience or physical space with coordinates. Because you put yourself out there, you can see the path forward clearly.
scorpio:
The gifts you give may be more important than the gifts you receive. This month you’ll have chances to observe how you behave in this back-and-forth exchange. If you chase down those you avail yourself to, you won’t get to see the ingenuity of their response.
Later in the month, you must read maps and decipher codes. It’s as if you’ve received new direction in where to go, how to imagine the future, and also the tools to make it happen. All it takes now is the movement of the journey.
