Dear Readers,
This year, June feels like a month that is both finalizing and preparatory. It feels a bit like a lull in the larger drama of things. We put a pause in certain endeavors, while new chapters begin teeming with life. Pluto returns to Capricorn. Venus enters Leo where it will be retrograde for most of the summer. We have a full moon in Sagittarius and a new moon in Gemini. Intuition will be our best friend this month. Pay attention to your dreams.

The full moon in Sagittarius on the 3rd/4th seems to be about hunger. There is a hunger that is really activated right now, but it can’t be filled. It might be quite greedy. It might crave the soft pillows, tropical fruit buffet, a type of love that feels like a hug around an aching hole inside you. It might crave home, family, belonging … while forgetting all the real-life complications. But what happens to hunger that must sit with itself, gnawing away in its own panic room? Or perhaps we are in the panic room instead. Hunger will have to transform itself. We will find other nourishment and bookmark the craving for another time, when it doesn’t possess us.
This month, we will also have to work out a tension that lives between our dreams and the world of mercantilism (metaphorically or literally). We may need to think about the give and takes, the deals we aren’t privy to, and contract details. Communication asks you to grab a hold of it and please make sense.
The New Moon in Gemini on the 17/18th is a big wash. It’s not a time for huge confident gestures, unless your gesture is a disappearing act. Bravado and ego clarity are traded in for a dip in the pool of Neptune, the planet of illusions and boundary disillusion.
Venus also enters Leo where it will retrograde on the 23rd of July. For most of June, it makes its slow journey towards its spot of redemption and renewal. All matters of love and relationship, beauty and taste are going to have their own upheavals and slow grinds. The key word is process. Nothing can just fall into place. You are going to feel the structure of your own decision-making and the minutiae of your desire. You may think back to the summer of 2015 for some signs of what relationships changes are in store.
ANNOUNCEMENT: !! I’m releasing my debut album on June 9, 2023. !!!
It’s been my dream and a marathon, a labor of love and lots of tears. It holds a vision of my world, love letters, and dreams that I have faith will one day take hold.
I imagined the various selves that could be possible and this was what I could find. There was country and longing, waltzes, rounds, narrative operatic psychedelic folk, riverbed chants, and lullabies at the end of the world.
It has helped close out a chapter in my life, and I would be grateful for anyone who wanted to be a witness in that.

horoscopes
Gemini: This month you may be brooding around where you belong and your local community. This could be a time when you buy a car or make a big move around some mode of transportation. Some travel plans might be extra heavy with expectation or drama. And the coldness and lack of clear identity in your work will be a big headline this month as well. All of this feels especially connected to desire to expand in your own space, to carve out your own privacy.
Cancer: This month, pre-birthday/renewal season feels latent. You are sitting on something that is about to hatch but it requires you sit very still. The beginning of the month may feel like it’s hard to balance that, when the world is calling you to do so much. There may be a call of attention to your health or rituals at this time. As Venus enters Leo, your second house of resources, you’ll be entering a season of decoration and pampering (within your means). If money has been tight, this will be even more a moment to get clear about what is owed to you. If money has not been tight, this will be a moment to understand better how to share. Either way, you need to rebalance the flow of certain resources and partake in the pool.
Leo: This is going to be a big summer for you. By the end, you’ll have a new confidence about you, whether it is a hairstyle, body regimen, or wardrobe makeover. But first you need to understand where you might still feel things are not comfy or right, where you hold anxiety and fear in your body. This year you are meant to grow in confidence and share you have in the world. Pay attention to the feelings and opportunities that pop up around now.
Virgo: This June, the world around you is especially chaotic. You may feel an extra form of loneliness or hardship from the world around you that contrasts with a duty to be out in the world, commanding a kind of authority. Responsibility is heavy. Once Venus enters Leo, you will enter into your own personal space. This private world might have its new joys but also few drawbacks. This summer you will figure out how you feel about this private world and how you can outfit it best for you.
Libra: There will be some conflicts early month about how you move about a space. Perhaps it might be more mundane or more related to a long-term health or work problem. You might also decide to go far away, but something close is still requiring your attention. There are loose ends, contracts and collaborations that albeit full of possibility, require your presence and dedication to blossom. Later in the month, you are going to be dealing with some possible friendship fray-age. You’ll have to get real this summer about what you actually want in community. First you have to sit with the desire and not whack it away with the fear of it consuming you.
Scorpio: Things have been quite tough for a while with the south node in your sign. This month might be a nice break from that overall. Jupiter has moved into your 7th house, and interactions with others might become slightly more peaceful or pleasant. I wonder how much you may be longing for companionship this month, and I think it could be coming! However, I would be cautious for possible explosions near the end of the month and the coming Venus retrograde in your 10th house. Pay attention to what happens at work and try to communicate gently and not move too strongly while still holding your ground.
Sagittarius: Early month, you want to burst out into a new you. The new you is one that can surf through the day with ease. You have your morning routine, your cleaning schedule, stretching, pruning, and nourishment. This will require however balancing the needs of others and needs of your own that sometimes might bring up some more long-term questions about where home is. For example, do you need a different home base to situate all these new systems you are building for yourself? Also this month, some larger theme about travel or faith begin to bubble up.
Capricorn: Early month, you are toggling between getting things done and zoning out, all the while feeling a kind of pressure in mental space or writing. You want to experience the possible abundance in your love life or creative pursuits, but it feels like you might not reach there just quite yet. When Venus enters Leo, you may have some balancing of your accounts to do or some bigger issues around intimacy and mergers that pop up.
Aquarius: This year you are coming into your own around your sense of home. However, you’ll need to get your resources in order this month in order for that to happen. If you need to cut down on expenses, this month will certainly highlight that. June may also ignite some push-and-pull in your relationship sector that continues on for most of this summer. It could be a will-they-won’t-they situation, but could also just be some conflicts that help you realign what you expect from others.
Pisces: Bushels and bushels of herbs and flowers sprout around you. If you are writer, this might come forth rather as inspired messages. Since Saturn moved into Pisces in March, you’ve felt the sun beating on your brow. What normally warmed you feels a bit oppressive. Also this month, you will be hearing the first tremors of possible shifts and new desires in work and health.
Aries: You are getting cracks of insight this month. It will pierce through in ways that are solid, heavy, and unmistakable. This will require a bit of maneuvering, wayfinding, and looking at signs both far away and close. Love, romance, sex, and creativity are also big themes for the summer. I imagine there may be some thrill-chasing, especially around maybe not getting what you want.
Taurus: You’ve been an epicenter for change for a long time now. The last few years have all but changed everything in your life. This month you get to focus a bit more on claiming whats yours. Take note, there may be a bit of coldness or less effervescence around friendships and/or certain collective efforts. You’re in a transition period. This month will also ignite some changes to be made at home, whether it be a move, a renovation, or a realignment of some kind.
